Okt 23 2009 | A new friend keeps reminding me of things past. He saw a concert of the Poison Girls in The Hague (at K '81) in 1981. If I was there too? I think I did, I replied, I was part of one of the support acts; the photographs on this page were taken by me (or were they taken by Kees 'Kingsize' Den Heijer?). I've written bits about that particular tour in my memories of the Last Few Days. Maybe I'll write some more in the future. I am STILL finding the WORDS that do justice to my earliest experiences with adulthood.

So while working on this page for my friend, I scanned the pics and decided to upload a soundboard recording of the Poison Girls two years later, again in The Hague (at the Paard). Didn't hear this for a long time. From "Cry No More" on, unstoppable tears. 'Happy tears' though, as my old friend Sleazy calls them. The recording can be downloaded here (59:39 m. MP3 128 Kbps 54.6 Mb). I do hope you will cry along with me, if only it was for those holes in the ground at Moengo, Suriname. Not too long though, as it changes nothing. Take it from Vi.
