Invariants under transformation





Een installatie / performance voor geluid en beweging ontworpen door de Japanse choreografe SATO ENDO.







Er is een ruimte. Een ruimte die zal worden ingekerfd met geluid en lichamen/beweging van performers. Om deze transformatie aan den lijve te ondervinden, wordt de toeschouwer uitgenodigd dit performance-terrein te betreden. Gedurende de performance is het publiek een autonoom, gevoelig deel van de ruimte.
De gebeurtenissen laten sporen na, die berusten op de ruimte en ons geheugen.

STATE X / NEW FORMS locatie-project:
WITTE RUIMTE, CASUARIESTRAAT 16 (voormalig ministerie van buitenlandse zaken).
Twee voorstellingen op zaterdag 3 juli:

  1. zaal open 19.00 uur, aanvang 19.30 uur.
  2. zaal open 21.30 uur, aanvang 22.00 uur.

Profile:

Sato Endo
Born in Tokyo. 20 years of classical piano education was strict but kept her interested because of constant discoveries in coordinating perceptions and physical actions. Then she gained master's degree in theories of Culture and Representation at the University of Tokyo. Since starting to dance at the age of 22, she trained in contemporary dance, choreography and interdisciplinary theater media during her participation in the project X-group at P.A.R.T.S. (Belgium, artistic direction Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker) and at DasArts(NL). She started to create her own work in 2000. Her work was produced or co-produced a.o. by Springdance, P.A.R.T.S, Theater Lantaren/Venster and Dans in Kortrijk. In 2002 she was a nominee for Toyota Choreography Award, which showcased a new generation of 8 Japanese choreographers. As a performer who is not necessarily "on stage", she has collaborated in performance projects by visual artists and sound artists.
